This is my latest acquisition. It was the fall of 2004, I was living up in Glendale and growing restless. I had no way of traveling for mountain bike rides, which was getting very frustrating! I was making good money as a contractor for Honeywell Aersospace, so I took advantage of the opportunity and laid down the cash for this 2001 Honda Civic EX. Much like the F4i was a huge leap forward from my first sportbike, this Civic was an enormous upgrade from my previous vehicles, which were either inoperable or really old and crappy! Of course, no car is worthwhile without a bike rack, so up it went! Unfortunately, the huge roof rack makes for some really turbulent air over the top of the car, rendering the sunroof all but useless. All in all, however, I've been very happy with my 33mpg Civic. There's a chance I may be selling the Civic sometime in 2006 or 2007 to make room for a hybrid, however. There are rumors that the next Toyota Prius will be a plug-in, turbocharged hybrid! If that's the case, there may just be one in my garage sometime in the near future...
